This is a decent Internet Cafe across the street (south side) from the main plaza in El Centro. (Free Wifi)

Hotel Lerma is in the old part of town. Room #33 $13.00 a night / simple / clean / the bathroom is kind of “interesting”. The family that owns it built it 50+ years ago. Cool old school place. I spent 2 nights there. I had my ear plugs so there was no noise “issues”. The main reason I stayed here is because about 15 -20 years ago we “lived” here for a while when we first arrived in Mazatlan.

I will be spending time at our mission sites in Cofradia and Tepic. I would appreciate you praying for my time with our staff. As I travel I will add comments and photos in chronological order.

I spent some time at the Mazatlan YWAM base today talking with them about their “Homes of Hope” home building ministry. They took me for a ride to show me some homes and explained to me how they work their program. I was real impressed. I am wondering if it would be a program we would want to consider at one or more of our ministry locations. It seems doable. Check out their Homes of Hope video.
I arrived in Cofradia to find a church from Washington State (His Place - Mount Vernon) hard at work with our staff working on the church project.

Jay TenBrink took me for a ride up to Mojoquatla (Cora Indian Village) to show me the house that he and his wife and 3 children have moved into. There goal as a family is to learn the Cora language and culture so they can present the gospel to them in a culturally and linguistics appropriate way. The photos are of the house they have been given permission to live in. Be praying for them that their dreams and goals will be realized.

I arrived in Tepic, Nayarit in time to be there for The Movement gathering and shared from the word. After the meeting; as part of their gathering they made about 50 tortas/sandwiches and took them to the local public hospital that serves the poor and brought food to people who were in need. There were about 20 people at the movement meeting.
Handing out tortas at the hospital.
The band “Into the Sea” is the expression part of The Movement.
Ron & Lynn Davis came from Guadalajara where they are attending language school to visit for a day. We were able to have a couple of meals together and attend The Movement meet up. It was great to see them.
While in Tepic Andy, Nayeli, Dylan, Omar and I hiked up the hill of the cross. It was good exercise (45 degree angle for about a mile at least it seemed like it). There was a great view from the top.
Ok; this is my website so you are going to have to endure at least one picture of my grandson. Here is Dylan and his mom Nayeli at the hill of the cross.
I spent a couple of days in Mazatlan before returning to Phoenix. While in Phoenix I wet with Jeremy Dyck, Karen Lipps (AM bookeeper), and Michelle Savoy (AM accountant/cpa) to go over financial details related to our mission.
